Dactyloscopy is the science of collecting human skin images with the sole purpose of identifying suspicious persons. Unfortunately, dactylograms / fingerprints are often hardly visible and always face the danger of destruction. Fluorescence compounds such as Cyanakrilat-Rodamin 6G, Cyanakrilat-Ardrox, DFO, Ninhidrin-zinc are used with high-powered light sources and special excitation filters in the spectral range of 450 nm to 540 nm respectively. The stimulated radiation can be focused with a special optical component to increase the effectiveness of the fluorescence being used. Since optical examination is non-destructive, results can be documented and archived photographically (digital, high-resolution).

Shoe and tire traces are another source for Forensic data collection. Optical inspection via rim light is easy, quick and safe. For example, a cold light source illuminates an object through fibre optic line illumination and the emerging light is focused. The flexible fibre optic supply line can be directed to the required angle of the surface being examined. Now bumps and ridges are visible, which would not be possible through daylight or room lighting. You are now able to document your findings and archive evidence through a number of our products.
